Design and Technology for Healthy Aging Initiative kickoff meeting annoucement
Design and Technology for Healthy Aging Initiative will hold its kickoff meeting Monday, January 26th, 2009 in the Centergy Building at Georgia Tech. The DATHA monthly meetings will provide a forum to identify and explore older adult needs that require interdicsiplinary responses and to evaluate new designs and technologies for their utility in responding to older adult needs. Ted Johnson, MD from the Center for Health and Aging at Emory University will present issues surrounding the telecommunication technologies to support healthy aging.

The Design and Technology for Healthy Aging Initiative is a
multidisciplinary effort that aims to bring together researchers,
practitioners and service providers from Georgia Tech and the Atlanta
area to identify, develop and implement new design and technologies
for healthy aging that respond to the real everyday needs of older
adults living in a range of community housing options.
